WHAT WE DO.
We use the tactics of the Indivisible Guide to defend New York against the Trump administration, and those in our state government that enable its harmful policies. Our steadfast nature, together with our enterprising New York spirit, make our grassroots group one-of-a-kind.
Our resistance kiosks in New York City are places for constituents to sign letters to our elected officials and take away flyers with additional actions to do. We connect with the city in a unique way.
We produce town hall meetings throughout New York City with a special focus on holding elected officials accountable. Past Empire State Indivisible town hall meetings were held in IDC districts preceding the 2018 primary election where 6 out of the 8 member conference lost their seat.
Public Speaking and Press
We have been invited to share the stage at public events with members of Congress and local community groups, and our work has been featured in The New York Times, Politico, New York Daily News, Crains, Observer, Vox, Queens TimesLedger, and Libération. We are changing the narrative about what constituent power can do.
District Office Meetings
We have delivered thousands of signed letters to elected officials and meet with their staff to hold them accountable.
Coordinated Phone Calls
Our call relays give a script for members to follow and provide a way to deliver a consistent flood of phone calls to Congress throughout the day.
A Bigger Picture
Our confidence in our tactics has allowed us to make strong connections with other Indivisible groups across New York City, the state, and throughout the country.
When we stand together, we win. When we only stand up for our own priorities, we wait our turn to lose. — Ezra Levin, Indivisible Co-Founder
